EducationTokyo boasts that it is the world’s highest concentration of institutions of higher learning with over 100 universities and colleges. In Japan one-third of the university students are enrolled in Tokyo schools. With the amount of school’s in Tokyo the Metropolitan board of education has restricted the schools because there is too much going on in the city and it is getting too busy.

Culture
Tokyo has a very unique culture and it is reflected in its traditional arts eg. Ikebana, Origami and crafts-dolls etc. Tokyo has a large number of festivals, rituals, observances and celebrations to be apart of the Japanese culture. The culture in Tokyo might seem a little different then our culture here in Australia because most Japanese people are shy and quiet and Australians are loud. The Japanese are shy and aloof because they were brought up to think of themselves as a different group.
